Just a 15-minute drive from the centre of Lisbon, across the Tagus River, lies the authentic and charming fishing village of Costa da Caparica. This beach is one of the most consistent surf spots in Portugal and offers perfect waves for surfers of all levels.
Costa da Caparica and the surrounding area boast many beautiful white sandy beaches and unspoilt nature surrounded by breathtaking cliffs. The forest you will find here is dominated by pine and mastic trees and is part of the Arriba Fossil botanical reserve.
Due to its unique location, we are blessed with great waves all year round. Most of the local beaches are divided by jetties that help catch the best waves and provide shelter on the windiest days. You will find people surfing, skating, cycling, jogging and working out in the free outdoor gym located right next to our surf school. Take one of our bikes or a skateboard on the waterfront and explore the incredible views!
In the centre of Caparica you will find plenty of surf shops and local markets to buy everything you need for your surfing holiday. After surfing you can relax in one of the beach bars or try a local Portuguese dish in one of the nearby restaurants.

Take bus no. 123 from Areeiro station to Costa Da Caparica and then it's just a short walk to our surf school located at Praia do Tarquínio (about 3 € in total).
From Cais do Sodré, take the short ferry to Cacilhas and then take an Uber from there directly to our surf school (about 10 € in total)
