SURFING IN SANTANDER

This stretch of coastline offers several options, there are more sheltered bays and more exposed ones, our staff will let you discover the different beaches and waves. In summer time there are nice waves suitable for all levels, mostly on sand bottom, while in winter it's the time for big wave spots such as La Vaca and Santa Marina suitable for big wave riders. One of our instructors is subscribed to the Billabong XXL for the La Vaca wave, if you are kamikaze inside these are the right waves for you!

SANTANDER AREA SPOTS

Somo Somo beach has 2 km of fine sand from Puntal to Loredo, with peaks for all levels. We distinguish 3 main spots on this beach: La Curva, El Camping and El Barco.

Loredo At the end of the beach of Somo, waves right and left on sand bottom. Suitable for all levels. Often surf courses are held in this spot.

Santa Marina Also called La Isla, a mythical spot of big waves, known globally. Rock bottom and waves that easily exceed 6 meters, suitable only for pro or kamikaze !!!

Langre Beach about 1 km long, set in a cliff. Right and left waves on sand bottom, suitable for all levels.

Galizano Right wave breaking on a rock slab. High quality spot, but not very consistent. Suitable for intermediate and expert.
