PENICHE (BALEAL) SURF SCHOOL

Surf course goes from Monday to Friday, for 2 hours a day for 5 days a week. You will learn to surf on special surf boards (usually malibu boards very floating), perfect for the first approach to oceanic waves. Depending on your weight and height we will give you the perfect board for you. The wetsuits we supply come from a local factory. The base beach where the lessons are held is Cantinho da Baia, right in front of our surf bar, but according to sea conditions we can move along the coast. Instructors check the sea every day and choose the best place!

The basic program includes:

• Position on the board
• Learn how to paddle
• How to sit on the board
• Go underwater to pass the waves (duck diving)
• Take a wave
• Surf the waves after they break
• Movement to stand up
• Surf the wave with control and confidence

Our instructors are local people who know perfectly the beaches and waves of Peniche Bay. They are all part of the Portuguese surf federation and they are all lifeguards.
